During my time at CMC Markets I worked on numerous on-line web trading applications and mobile trading applications. Using standard web technologies we have been able to push browsers to their limits bringing real time trading to people across the web. The trading front ends are built with JavaScript and use JQuery to provide the extra interaction required. The server side logic is controlled by a combination of either Java or historically Perl and provides a standard RESTful web services interface.
